The Retreat Center
The Retreat Center includes four amazing components designed to enhance the Participant Experience. You may weave the mystique of each component into your sessions’ content.
The Marcus Barn
Our 30’ x 32’ ( 9m x 10m) barn supports classroom-style activities, group therapy sessions and exercise activities such as Tai Chi and Yoga.
Seating capacity for a fixed-seated classroom-style supports 30 participants.
Barbara has attended numerous seminars and conferences and realizes that corporate conference facilities are poorly matched and badly setup to support life-growth sessions. The “BE” House and Marcus Barn are part of the natural environment. They are conducive to letting down guards and opening minds and hearts to shifts and transformations.
The Garden
This region boasts the world’s best brew of showers, sun and soil. Our giant garden provides tons of metaphors linking learning and program content.
Growth. Nourish. Beauty. Produce. Natural. Organic. Harmony. Synergy. Elements. Dirt. Hands. Harvest. Participatory.
Guests enjoy physical, seasonal hands-on work planting, caring for and harvesting tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, pumpkins, beets, Brussel sprouts, and sunflowers to name a few. Plus, you can incorporate observations using our team of bees, butterflies, birds, deer, and fireflies.
The ‘Be’ House
Built 170 years ago. We’ve restored this classic Americana farm home to sleep up to five facilitators while we prepare meals for your group.
The house also supports room for small breakout sessions of about 10 people.
The Woods
50 acres of Be House land include woodlands allowing unbridled Walks-in-The-Woods. One gorgeous pathway leads to an area called Tabula Rasa which translates into “Clean Slate.” It’s an ideal space to clear your mind.
Participants may walk or ride in our four-wheelers, so everyone can visit this amazing setting.
